Yeah, so I went to see TOOL this last weekend, and realized it might actually be blog worthy, unlike most of life. Well, amybe not blog worthy, since it wasn't very funny, just cool. But it exists in the realm of "i don't care what people think, i must enlighten their poor beleaguered minds.
What can i say, it was TOOL, if you don't like TOOL you would have probably thought it was instrumental-heavy and wierd. If you like TOOL, you were too busy freaking out of your head to care whether Maynard (who, as a side note, is extremely short compared to his bandmates) was singing or not. You were too busy wondering if that gigantic occult symbol they use as lighting equipment was damning you to hell. You really have to get into TOOL before you can even begin to like them, which is why they kick so much ass.
So the concert was cool. but i think i got sold a non-existant seat. I was in section NE-LGE A11. i found NE-LGE, but row A only went to 7, this was a really small section with a great view (i still would have preferred floor, but for those who don't like the floor it was perfect), so there wasn't much to look around in. So i'm fairly certain A 11 does not occur in this plane of existance. There was also this annoying stoned girl who stole a piece of the railing next to me. She was extremely stupid and giddy. And if there's one thing i hate more than stupid people, it's giddy stupid people. It's like they feel the need to show just how blissful ignorance makes you. Anyway, she must have though the singer was floating in front of me,. because she kept hugging the air right in front of my face. As if having to look at her stupid stoned arms all night wasn't annoying enough, she even decided to smack in the head once. But aside from that (and the fact that i missed the opening band, being one of the 5 people in the entire stadium who actually like them) the concert was freaking great. I'm sure if i was a stoner, it would have been even better, since a lot of the video clips and such seem specially designed for the chemically-enhanced cortex.
